Magic Missile by Halo Brewery
ABV 5.5% IBU 34
I’m starting this week’s Beer Profile by stating that if you haven’t yet sampled what our Toronto Craft breweries are putting out for us to drink, then you are really missing out. There’s a good reason its called craft beer. The beers are crafted for us to enjoy by brewers who really want to produce outstanding beer, not massive profits. I suggest enjoying a Toronto craft beer (responsibly) while reading each week’s ‘Beer Profile”. End of rant.
Magic Missile is a dry hopped pale ale. According to the Halo Brewery website, it’s dry hopped for 3 days with Galaxy, Citra, Belma, and Nelson Sauvin hops. It comes in at a solid 5.5% ABV.
The appearance is an amber colour with white cap and medium carbonation. The aroma is of peaches! Peaches indeed. The flavour is a balance of malt, yeastiness, and acidity with a pleasant bitter finish. Very nicely crafted beer. The bottle artwork is a hit as well.
