Beer Profile: Sunlight Park by Left Field Brewery

Posted on Posted in Beer Profiles

ABV 5.3% IBU22

This week’s beer profile comes to us from Toronto’s East End and Left Field Brewery. Sunlight Park is a grapefruit Saison and it’s a spring and summer seasonal offer from the brewery.

In case you aren’t aware, Left Field Brewery has been added to the Backyard Beer Tours East End brewery crawl roster. Toronto’s craft beer scene isn’t confined to the West End and the Junction after all. Left Field Brewery is an integral part in the growth and success of Toronto Craft Beer, so let us take your group on an East End Brewery crawl and visit Left Field Brewery!

Sunlight Park pours a pale golden colour with a slight haze and a foamy white top. The aroma is of white pepper and a hint of grapefruit. The malt flavour is present but not overwhelming, allowing the grapefruit to come through. The classic saison funk is there but it’s mild. The finish is dry and crisp.

Sunlight park is a great beer to give friends venturing into the world of craft beer. You could call it a gateway beer. It’s not too adventurous, but it’s a well crafted and balanced beer that puts a slight twist on a classic style. Pick up your Sunlight Park at your LCBO or visit Left Field Brewery on your next East End Brewery Crawl with Backyard Beer Tours.
