Today’s beer profile comes to us from Vankleek Hill , Ontario and Beau’s Brewing Co. Beau’s isn’t exactly a small craft brewery as their popularity has been soaring for a few years. They make amazing and organic beer, give back to their community, and treat their employees like family. One of these days I’ll make it out to Vankleek Hill for a visit.
Beau’s has partnered with local, ethically-minded producers for it’s ingredients where possible. They also have a strong focus on environmental responsibility. Beaus’s has also committed lots of time and money to establish a women-owned brewery in Rwanda. Click here to check out more.
Full Time IPA is in regular production at Beau’s and it’s also available at my local LCBO, here in Toronto. It’s a bold and flavourful IPA that will pair well with your summer barbecue fare.
The appearance is a hazy orange with an ample white and foamy top. The aroma isn’t subtle, it hits you with tropical fruits and peaches from across the room. The flavour has a bit of a pine note to it in addition to the peach, apricot, and citrus also present in the aroma. The mouthfeel is medium, and the finish is a balanced and lingering bitterness.
Full Time IPA has earned regular rotation in my fridge. To quote Backyard Beer Tours Co-owner, Steve Werbin, “I like it for what it’s not”. Full Time IPA is a solid, bold, fruity, hazy, delicious craft beer that we are lucky to get to try. Check out what Beau’s is up to here.
