Beer Profile: Kapow! West Coast IPA by Rainhard Brewing Co

ABV 6.5% IBU65

Kapow! West Coast IPA is the subject of today’s beer profile. Rainhard Brewing Co has crafted this tasty beverage in a few different iterations but the basics have remained the same over the life of it. FOr the hop heads out there, this is one you’ll need to try.

The appearance is a pale yellow straw with ample foamy top and carbonation. It’s clear, not hazy at all. The aroma is hint of tropical fruit. The taste is where it hits you (with a Kapow sound, even). The hops shine in this West Coast IPA, and tropical fruits come through right away. There’s an expected bitter finish but no harshness. There is a great balance between the malt and bitterness.

I think you should pair this beer with fish tacos. Tangy and spicy fish tacos and hoppy IPAs are a delight in my opinion.
